Calling the Mall of the Emirates a boring shopping centre would be a daring understatement. The owners themselves regard the situation more realistically and describe the mall as a recreation, entertainment and shopping resort.
The 223,000-square-metre large entertainment temple is centrally located in the heart of New Dubai and houses 520 international brands including department stores, fashion labels, lifestyle brands, manufacturers of sports equipment, electrical goods and interior design – primary from the luxury segment.
If you get bored by shopping you find a nice change in the entertainment area for families or in the multiplex cinema. The Mall of Emirates has grown to fame however due to its indoor ski slope. If you wanna stay in the Mall of Emirates for your skiing holidays you can check in at the five-star Kempinski Hotel.
In August 2010 the latest addition to the mall – the Fashion Dome – celebrated its opening. Since then also the conspicuous red soles by the French Christian Louboutin are available. With a mono brand store under the fashion dome the French made his debut in the Emirates. Also Paul Smith, Marc Jacobs and Diane von Fürstenberg did not hesitate to move in. The D&G Boutique by Dolce & Gabbana is the biggest far and wide.
