With its 32 floors, the Millenium Hilton sits enthroned directly along the big Chao Phraya River. The architecture of the skyscraper by itself is worth seeing. The panorama view from the rooftop and the Three-Sixty-Lounge (the name is the programme) deserves only one word: spectacular! The hustle and bustle on the river and the pulsating metropolis can be observed from the 543 rooms (with big windows), the Infinity-pools (with a white, elevated sand beach) and from the impressing lobby. The furnishing in “contemporary style” was designed by the interior design office BARstudio and the famous New Yorker lighting designer Tony Chi.
The only bad point: The Hilton is located on the “wrong” side of the river. To get to the city, one has to either take the shuttle boat (it goes every 20 minutes) or a taxi over the crowded bridge.
