The Khun Churn is a welcome alternative to the meat- and fish-laden menus of the Thais. Originally from Chiang Mai the family-run venue also opened a subsidiary in Bangkok. Despite the rather strange location – the restaurant is located in the basement of the Bangkok Mediplex shopping mall – the Khun Churn has reached the status of an institution by now. It owes its immense popularity especially to excessive buzz marketing.

For a long time “Khun Churn” was the keyword of the vegetarian facebook community in Bangkok. With good reason, because the healthy dishes taste so good that even some meat eaters have already considered converting to a vegetarian.

Many guests come because of the outstanding juices (without sugar, sweetened with honey) – and the jasmine juice in particular is a true money-spinner. On the whole, the Khun Churn is a special class venue for vegetarians with great interior, friendly service and reasonable prices – and a rather odd location.
