While the sister of the Metropolitan Hotel also subscribes to the principles of Zen, you will hardly notice it. But if you really want to know: Each floor’s design is shaped according to a different element. But you will see little of it because the Italian design diminishes the Eastern philosophy with subdued colours, and the large windows direct your gaze outwards instead of inwards.
Inside, however, the aroma reminds of Bulgari. And, in fact, shampoo, shower gel, soap and other toiletries at the marble bath are made by the Italian brand. But enough of Italy and back to the East. The hotel’s Restaurant Nahm serves the best Thai kitchen in Europe, at least according to Michelin, who decorated the cuisine with a star. After so much culinary indulging you can work out your bad conscience at the gym, or relax during a yoga session, or pass by the Metropolitan. There, you have access to the Como-Spa.
Afterwards we recommend a drink at the bar, the latter in a somewhat bland design like the other public rooms, but that doesn’t matter, really. The rooms are truly beautiful and eventually only the inner values count, right? Double room from approx. 450 Euros per night.
