Airport - City Getting Around Best Of Dos & Dont's

From the airport into the city

The airport El Prat (is situated in the southwest, approximately 20 minutes by car from the centre) underwent a complete renovation in 1991 and was also enlarged. A taxi to the centre costs about Euro 12.50. A cheaper option is the Aero bus (phone 906 42 70 17, www.tmb.net, € 2.50), which runs from the airport to Plaça de Catalunya (next to a metro station) in the city centre every 15 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes on weekends and bank holidays festive days. In addition, there is a train that runs every 30 minutes from the airport to Barcelona-Sants train station.

Tip: Book Austrian redcab online up to two days before departure for your transfer in Barcelona.
