Glasses are there to watch. That's what Eleonora Newton and Andrea De Zordi must have thought. On only four square metres the two learnt opticians have established the smallest eyewear museum in Switzerland. Despite this little surface area the whole history of glasses until today is exhibited.
But the two women from Zurich wouldn't be opticians if they'd only thought of glasses in showcases. They also pay attention to glasses on the nose: worn as an accessory or for a better view. And that's how a former little dairy shop turned into an eyewear museum with eyewear store. Ever since the two friends manufacture glasses made of high quality acetate from Italy that are customised to the clients' faces. That's also why their store carries the name manu propria, which means “with one's own hand”.
Apart from handmade designs you also get several designer glasses. Concerning prices: the frame “Cuba Libre” costs 380 Swiss francs.
