The "Schlösschen" (little castle) in the centre of Stuttgart was elected the "Flair Hotel of the year" in 2009. Maybe this is because you don't simply find a place to stay but a fine home. The hotel is the Scherle family's passion, and this shows. No matter where in the house you are staying: In the main part, the Hotel Wörtz, there are 30 rooms, and in the elegant Schlösschen seven additional rooms are available for demanding guests.

The ambiance is truly extraordinary: In the garden you can watch the Kois making their morning rounds in the pond, while on the big terrace you can enjoy a glass of wine. Yet this is not as easy as it sounds: The wine list of the in-house restaurant runs to 600 exquisite wines.

The rooms offer pure luxury, including golden fixtures and whirlpools, champagne welcomes and marble columns. The Louis XVI suite with original 19th century furniture is particularly impressive. Doubles start at 144 euros, a night in the Louis XVI suite costs 299 euros.
