The name of the church means The Seven gods. It was built in post-byzantine style in 1901-1903 by the architects A.Pomerantzev, P. Momtchilov and Y. Manolov on the base of a mosque, built in 1528 by the architect of bulgarian origin Mimar Sinan on the place of an ancient monastery of St. John Rilsky.
