It’s the ultimate knowledge universe: The biggest museum of science and technology in the world, with 28,000 objects, from the historic steam engine, to the flying machine of the Wright Brothers to the nanocosm. It’s science to touch and try, according to the motto: You don’t learn by gazing alone.
The “Zentrum Neue Technologien” was only added last fall. Watch nano scientist in action, experiment yourself in one of the three laboratories and let them explain the risks and opportunities of this futuristic technology.
For children between 3 and 8 years the Kid’s Kingdom opens up a whole new world: The powered machine, the wave-bouncing weir, building blocks, the fire department, the House of Light and even a giant guitar. The Deutsche Museum is idyllically located on the Isar Museum Island. As with all great museums it poses a great dilemma: One day for the whole adventure of knowledge? No problem, you just have to pick and chose. If you visit the museum with kids they will probably do that job for you.
