The French have their cidre, the Frankfurters have their Ebbelwoi. For some time now, the Hessian apple wine even has its own store in Frankfurt: the Apfelweinkontor. The two owners Konstantin Kalveram and Michael Rühl developed into experts on the regional beverage due to their “Frankfurter Apfelweinführer” (a guide on apple wine) and their own apple wine blog. In 2010 they've been even awarded the “Pomme d'Or” for their first own apple wine.
In their store you can explore unimagined worlds of the apple wine: “Whoever thought that every apple wine tastes the same, can convince himself of the contrary with our range of offers. Single-origin apple wine, vintage apple wine, apple champagne and more: the world of apple wine is a world of diversity, with nuances and variations”, explains Konstantin Kalveram. Also international relatives like the cidre from the Bretagne, cirda from Asturias or the English cider can be found in the wooden shelves of the Hessian store.
