“Modern European Cuisine” or “upscale Mediterranean cuisine, fresh and moderately priced”, is how you could summarize what you get at the Medici. The brothers Stamatios and Christos Simiakos opened the restaurant in 2004, and since then they have made their reputation for being a shining bright star at the gastro heaven of the Main metropolis. After the restaurant owners had cooked on the cruise ship AIDA, with Alfons Schubeck in the Hotel Bachmair and in Eckart Witzigmann’s Palazzo, they finally opened their own place, convincing critics and customers alike with creativity and exquisite taste.
Try the “Büsum crab salad with mango chilicoulis and mild wasabi mousse and pickled ginger with white tomato mousse or the coated barberry duck breast with wild current red cabbage and dumplings”. For dessert you should order the “three home-made sorbets” – which of the three is the most delicious, we cannot say. Tip: Take a drink at the 5 metre (!) long bar afterwards.
