From the airport into the city
There are three airports in Berlin but most of the commercial airlines, including all redticket flights, touch down at the Tegel Airport. The Otto-Lilienthal-Flughafen Berlin Tegel Airport is located 8km north of the city centre. The best way to reach the city is by bus (Lines X9, 109, 128 and TXL), which takes between 20 to 30 minutes. Those who aren't really keen on taking public transport, are short on time or have too much luggage can also take a taxi. Rates naturally vary according to the exact destination, but you can expect to pay around €14 to Bahnhof Zoo (West) or €19 to Alexanderplatz (East).
