The name is misleading. This is not about shoemenders but extraordinary fashion from Stockholm. Everything started in the year 2004. Astrid Olsson and Lee Cotter design their first collection and drape Jersey – for women only! 2006 they ware awarded the title “Best designer of the year” for their menswear line. At the same time their first store in Södermalm opened, which likewise served as their atelier. In the course of the following years they opened three more stores (one of them in Singapore) and an online shop. That's how at Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair in a 170 years old brewery directly in the city does not only manufacture ready-to-war garments but also unique pieces – all handmade! Traditionally the drafts are put on the window manneqins first – solid handicraft which exactly mirrors the Swedish designers' philosophy!
