Stig Larsson only gained the fame he deserved posthumously. The Prinsen has been earning its keep for the past 100 years. Yet they are connected: Larsson was inspired by the creative atmosphere of this tasteful restaurant, which has been the muse to many poets, artists and bohemians in its time, including one Horace Engdahl.
It is of little surprise considering what’s on the menu, a bit of fish, some egg yolk, something French – et voilá, the result is some of the finest slow food. If you hang around for a while do some people-watching. You are in the company of Stockholm’s writers of tomorrow. You may as well get a few autographs while you can – just in case.
